Spiced Berry Compote
Ingredients
• 1 bag frozen berries
• 1 star anise
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 3 cardamon pods
Method
1. Crush the cardamon pods. Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and heat gently until the berries have defrosted and a syrup starts to form (about 5-10mins). Don’t overcook, as you will end up with mushy berries! Remove the spices before serving.
